Paula studied her Bachelor of Science degree (Biochemistry major) at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and then went on to complete her Post Graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (Medical Honours), also at the University of Cape Town in 1998. Paula moved to the UK in 1999, where she still lives with her husband and 2 children.
Paula has held posts in 3 of the worlds best Children’s Hospitals, namely Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Evelina Children’s Hospital, both in London. She has also worked in some of London’s major teaching hospitals such as St George’s Hospital, University College London Hospital and Kingston Hospital, gaining a wide and varied experience in all aspects of paediatric nutrition. Paula has also completed additional training in paediatric nutrition, completing Masters level modules in food allergy, inherited metabolic disorders and common paediatric nutrition disorders. Paula has also completed the world-renowned ‘SOS approach to feeding’ 4 day course to help babies and children who are picky eaters or who have feeding problems.
